Yellow Fever Vaccination International Certificate
The visa application of Argentines should be accompanied by this certificate.
You can get the vaccination done for free at Sanidad de Frontera (Ingeniero Huergo 690). The vaccination is valid after 10 days of administering the vaccine.
This certificate is a requirement of the Indian health authorities and this is as per the declaration of WHO that Argentina is a yellow fever zone country among some others in Latin America. Uruguay and Paraguay is not in the yellow fever zone.
Anyone who has lived or stayed in Argentina and even Indians visitng Argentina need this certificate whie reentering India. Without this certificate the embassy is not allowed to issue visa. In fact the embassy has to put a stamp in the visa saying that the certificate has been seen and verified.
Without this certificate, the Indian helath authorities will quarantine the visitor at the airport for about a week or the visitor will be sent back.
Only exceptions are children younger than 6 months old and people with serious health issues such as diabetes, cancer or heart disease which does not permit vaccination. It has come to the notice of the embassy that some doctors and some organisations issue cerificates routinely at the clerical level without proper medical examination or basis. Because of this, the authorities have required that such certificates have to be accompanied by a certificate from the Sanidad Frontera of the Argentine government.
Some points for information
There should be a gap of two months between visits under tourist visa. Fresh tourist visa will be given one month after the expiry of the previous visa.
However, in case the traveler wishes to re-enter India after visiting neighbouring countries on account of tourism, he/she needs to seek permission from the immigration authorities at the time of exiting India. This request would have to be supported with documentation like ticket bookins and travel itinerary etc.
In any case, the maximum entries into India would be three during the validity of the visa and stay period in total would be the number of days stipulated, 90 days.
After the third and final exit from India, no entry will be allowed before the completion of two months.
Uruguayans and paraguyans have to pay visa fees for business visa.
Diplomatic and Official passport holders of Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay do not need visa
Visa processing for Non-resident Foreigners will take at least 72 hours since clearance has to be obtained from the indian embassy in their country.
Foreigners can get Business or employment visa only if they have stayed in Argentina, Uruguay or Paraguay for more than 2 years. Otherwise they should take these visas from the Indian embassies in their country.

Information for Uruguayans
Mr. Daniel Veneroso, a Uruguayan from Montevideo and freelance agent who works for different travel agencies visits Buenos Aires every Tuesday and Thursday for getting visas from different embassies including our embassy. He has been doing this service ...for a fee, of course, for the last 15 years. Those who want to send the visa application through him can contact him at phone: 209 65 58 or cell phone: 099 68 22 66. This is just for information. The embassy is not responsible for his services.
Advisory for Indians applying for Argentine visas
In the case of business visas, some Argentine embassies routinely ask for a original invitation by an Argentine client attested by notary and immigration department. According to their visa regulation, business visitors need the original invitation only if an Argentine client takes the initiative to invite you. If the businessmen come on their own to explore the market or do business, the invitation is not required. This has been clarified and reconfirmed by the Argentine Foreign office. This may be quoted to the visa officer if he asks for invitation.
In some cases, the embassy in delhi tells the business visa applicants that the Argentine client which invites you need to be registered with the Immgiration Authorities. Client registration is not needed for regular business visitors who come here to explore or do business. It is needed only for technicians or consultants who get paid for their work with Argentinian companies.
There have been some cases when Argentine visa officers give just three month business visa even for reputed Indian companies doing regular business with Argentina. In such cases the visa officer´s attention is to be drawn to the visa Agreement signed on 14 october 2009 during the visit of President of Argentina to Delhi (Visa agreement signed in the form of exchange of letters between Foreign Ministers of Argentina and India.Agreement in English - in Spanish), This provides for five year multientry visa valid for a stay of 90 days during each visit.
There have been some cases of tourist visas given just for 4 days for Indians. In such cases the visa officers should be told that Argentine law allows for three month visa for Indian tourists.
