Festival of India 3 - 13 December |

This Fourth Festival of India follows the success and popularity of the first 3 festivals held in November 2008, November 2009 and November 2010. This year, the Festival will be done on an even larger scale.
The main venue of the Festival is the prestigious Borges Cultural Centre where the dance and music programmes, the exihibition of handicrafts and the Film festival will be held.

There will bean exhibition and sale of handicrafts by 40 Indian companies at the Borges Centre.

The exhibition will be from 12 to 8 pm at the Borges Cultural Center (3-13 December). |

Live Demostration of Handicrafts |
Eight Indian artisans will give live demonstrations of handicrafts at the Borges centre from 12.00 to 20.00 hrs.
The music and dance festival will be performed by groups from India and local Argentines who have mastered Indian dance and music. |

Manipuri dance group Manipuri is one of the six major classical dances of . The most interesting part of Manipur dance is its colorful decoration, lightness of dancing foot, delicacy of abhinaya (drama), lilting music and poetic charm. The Manipuri dance form is mostly ritualistic and draws heavily from the rich culture of the state of Manipur. Costumes used in the Manipur dance are colorful and the music carries a quaint charm. Manipuri dance is entirely religious and aims at gaining spiritual experience. The Manipuri dance is not only a medium of worship and delight but also essential for all socio-cultural ceremonies of Manipuri people. |
